Readathon and Back to Blogging

Well, it’s been almost a full year since I wrote anything on this blog, but what better time to get restarted than for another readathon (the best kind of events throughout the year).

Despite the virus I acquired yesterday (thanks, germy students) and the fever I went to bed with last night, I’m determined to participate in as much reading as possible today. I woke up at 7:59, gasped, and hit play on my already started audiobook. I’ve been in such a reading slump lately, so I’d only listened to a little bit of Genuine Fraud by e. lockhart, but it’s been the perfect book to kick off my readathoning. Also, readathons always seem so well-timed to my reading droughts–super convenient.

The fever is down this morning, my energy drink, toast, and eggs are helping me feel more like a real person, and now that the dishes are done and the laundry is drying, I’m going to settle in with the new John Green book (TURTLES ALL THE WAY DOWN HERE I COOOOOMMMEEEE).
